Meet Chad
I have always been a builder and a fixer. I learned from my dad how to repair things that were broken and how to build something from nothing. It is a way of life and a source of great pride for me. I have been a performer since I was very young, too.
Growing up in the San Francisco Bay, I loved the stage, the hard work and the people. I focused on physical theater and silent comedy in college at The University of California Santa Cruz and studied Ensemble Devising at the Dell’ Arte International School of Physical Theatre. And while this has brought me great joy in my life, my proudest work has always been what I have accomplished with my hands.
I have built a boat and steered it down the Mississippi River with Unseen Ghost Brigade and I’ve turned rundown urban lots into flourishing, beautiful gardens in Oakland, California. And in my little funny workshop, I have designed, sculpted and crafted some the most wearable and inspiring clown noses the world has ever seen. I’ve survived the trials of clown training and I have performed before hundreds of strangers and made them laugh, but I am most proud of these little red noses and the small part I get to play in helping clowns help the world. The Red Nose Factory is in Bend, Oregon. If I am not there making noses I will either be found fly-fishing, tending bar or loving my beautiful wife.
